

Dana is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho with nearly 30 years of experience in the counseling field. She received her Bachelor’s degree from, Pitzer College in Claremont California and her Master’s degree in counseling from California State University at Long beach.
Her experience is vast and varied covering work in psychiatric hospitals to counseling in the schools to private practice. She has been a guest lecturer over the years at several colleges and teaches today in eh counseling field. Dana is the former Ethics Chair for the Idaho Mental Health Counselor’s Association and is the incoming President of that association in 2011. Dana currently serves on the Ethics Committee for the American Mental Health Association and is the Ethics liaison for the American Psychotherapy Association.
Dana is a Fellow in both the American Psychotherapy Association and the American College of Forensic Examiners International. She is a certified Relationship Specialist, a Diplomate in the American Board of Forensic Counselors, and is a Board Certified Professional Counselor.

Dana’s private practice focuses on older teens, adults, couple and victims of violent crime. Her therapeutic philosophy centers on each person’s individual life journey and helping people to stay on the path of their own life. The emphasis is on assisting each person in defining and achieving their own goals. He approach is cognitive in nature, reality based, directive and sometimes educational.
